My 3 crafty resolutions for 2011 are to:

1, Try distressing, I love how it looks but not attempted it yet

2, Do more embossing

3, Spend less, ok so that's one broken already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Fav 5 from 2010

Good Morning


I wanted to join in with the fun that Debby has organised, What a fab idea! Now I have only been blogging since August so I don't actually have that many to chose from but here goes.

My first one has no stamping so no colouring, but this as my very first DT card and I just loved the papers and softness of the colours .

This one I love for 2 reasons, love red and white and was pleased with the layout.


My next card is one of my favs for 2 reasons, I normally do not make male cards (I buy them!!!) coz I just seem to think I can't do it before I even try really but I had a go on this one. I really liked how it turned out and it got me on my second DT Team! Whoo hoo

My next card I loved the papers and layout which was not mine, I followed a sketch at Cupcake challenges.

And finally this one because although it is very recent, yesterday LOL I think it shows the most improvement on my colouring. I used to think you can either colour or you can't now I still believe that is true to a degree and I am never going to be fantastic but I have improved which 6 months ago I did not think that was even possible.

I am hoping to be back later today with another card.

Hello Cupcake

Hello

Ok I am well and truly in 'relaxed' mode now ( I think the wine helps)!!! I hope you are looking forward to new years eve, I have to say I dread it! I know its only once a year but every year I have to endure the party next door. It would not be so bad if they just played music but they insist on karaoke until about 2 in the morning and they can't sing a jot although they think they can. The same songs every year yelled into a microphone very badly, OMG! Blimey I sound like a right misery guts! LOL!

Anyway enjoyed making a card today, I used my new LOTV stamp, Hello Cupcake and my new fabby Polka Dots papers from Wild Rose Studio, they really are very me! She is coloured with promarkers and the flowers are using the Boho punch from Stampin Up! I grabbed fab ribbon bargains today from Hobbycraft, now I am not a lover of this store, very overpriced but I check it out now and again. I am glad I did today as I got 4 packs of Anna Griffin ribbon I think normally about £4 each for 99p a pack. There is 4 or 5 different ribbons in each pack so well chuffed. The sentiments is also one of the gorgeous new ones from LOTV.

Anything Goes - Digital Tuesday Challenge

I hope you had fantastic Christmas and maybe you got some new stash! I am very lucky as I am of now off until 4th Jan so hopefully can squeeze a few extra cards in and have some time to relax a bit. My daughter (14) hit the sales yesterday she was out ALL day shopping, she doesn't get that from me I loathe shopping unless it is of the craft variety!!

Still making Christmas Cards

Hello

Oh No, I am so way behind, LOL, I really wish I started earlier now! Anyway made this one for mum and dad now just hope the post gets it there in time. Every year I swear I will be more organised but I never am! hehe.

I still have to work all next week including Christmas Eve, clean the whole house, do all the food shopping, put the tree up, make 3 more Christmas cards and 2 birthday cards, still got some wrapping up, cook a dinner today, ironing and I have a house full of kids that couldn't get home yesterday due to the snow!!! Gosh I'm exhausted just writing it, better go and get on with it!!!!

Ok this card really was MEGA quick, I have been a bit poorly over the last couple of days and so I used an image I had already coloured. I have also noticed I am having a 'blue' phase, oh well it gives the pink a rest!!LOL

I have used Winter Beau from Digi Stamp Boutique, kept it nice and simple, one paper and one colour, and there it is done! The paper is from Craftwork cards paper pack as is the sentiment.

The image is Little Christmas Angel from Whimsy stamps, such a sweetie. She is coloured with promarkers and her wings are sparkling away with glamour dust. The lush papers are the Joyeux Noel range from Papermania. I used my gold brilliance ink to colour a plain white flower which I used to put the sentiment on. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Was really pleased to be able to use the gold sparkly ribbon, had it for ages and finally got to use it.

Ok I don't have a card of mine to show you but I do have someone else's!! My fabby sister runs Stampin Up classes which I help out with (well I make the tea LOL!), we have 2 meets in Maidstone and 1 in Romford, so if anyone that pops in is around this area you can check out the details here, we would love to see you. Well I came back from Romford on Wednesday with some truly stunning hand made cards and presents (can't wait for Christmas day!) The cards are all lovely but I wanted to show this one, check out the stunning vellum snowflakes. This card is by a lovely lady called Karen.
