Cherry Cake......

Where does the weekend go, it has flown by again. I didn't have time to make a card yesterday what with one thing and another and today I have spent way too much time on the net looking at cards instead of making one!!

Anyway managed to get one together in the end, here is my card for the challenge at CES which is Chocolate and Caramel.




The image is sooooo sweet, I actually said ahhh when I saw it, of course had to have it! It is called 'Cherry Cake' from Di's Digi Downloads. The paper is MME 'Asparagus' and coredinations essentials 'Cream N Sugar'. The flowers are coloured with promarkers in caramel to match and the little swirls in the corner are from my EK success hearts and swirls punch, these bits actually fall out but they really are very useful.

Swan Lake?........!!!!

Morning

Mega quick post, its seven in the morning and I really should be getting ready for work!!

I finished this card late last night but too dark to take a decent pic, I am entering into 3 challenges:

CES- Buttons and Bows
The Crazy Challenge - Tons of Shapes(labels, circles, rectangle)
Papertake Weekly - Sparkly and Bright






The image is Ballet Matilda from Digi Stamp Boutique, (even the girls at DSB are fed up with me I think LOL)!!!!the pink paper is Dovecraft Back to Basics and the lilac from papermania. I have used brazill basics pearlescent cardstock for the matting. Flowers and ribbon from stash. There is stickles on the flowers and glitter on her skirt which I hope you can see in the close up pic . I used nesties, labels (forgotten which number) and MS border punch - circles.

Oh and I woud love to get to 40 followers by end of day, thats just one more,(I dont like 39)!!

Clean and Simple!!!

Yippee its Wednesday which is good for 2 reasons, first it's halfway to the weekend and second its a new challenge today at Fab N Funky and this week we want you to be clean and simple!!!!(the simple bit comes very naturally to me!)LOL

Here is my card, which is very very simple indeed, a really nice quick make!




Now I don't make too many cas cards but I must admit I do really like them. I love the mainly white effect so I decided to go down that route for my card. I have just punched out 3 small circles using a Stampin up circle punch and 3 butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is also from Stampin UP and thats it done!

I can't wait to see what you come up with this week.

Dont Make Me Angry!!!.............

Morning

I am pleased to have been asked to make a boys birthday card featuring the 'Hulk'. Now I really struggle with male cards,(and lots of others) however I think children's are a bit easier then the mens!! I have chosen an image and added the sentiment before printing. I added a bit of mirror card at the end and glued some silver candy down the side, I though it looked like metal riveting, I was quite pleased with the effect.

I chose some green card and some green dotty paper from My Minds Eye, Asparagus range. Just finished off with a black striped ribbon down the edge(so hard not to tie a bow)! I used a sticker for the age which was white but I coloured it with a black promarker.

Wicked Witch (or not)!!!

Christmas Card and Biggin Hill Report

Hello,

Well me and my sis decided we would check out the 'papercraft extravaganza' at Biggin Hill today, well it would be rude not to as we are only 45 mins away!! Lovely drive down, the autumn colours are so pretty and the sun was shining. Now I only went to look but Oyster samps were selling 4 sets of nesties for £55.00, so me and my sis chose two each, pretty smart I think. There was also an offer on the MS punches so it was only fair to have one of those each as well!!!

It actually was really good for a small venue, the coffee was pants though!! I also got some papers and a couple of promarkers, my collection of these is now looking quite good. All in all an enjoyable little trip.

The image is from PB Jolly Friends and the papers are from the Honey and Hugs range by Papermania. I used Kars medium and small snowflakes punch (x3) and gems and ribbon from stash! The little snowman is also standing in a nice splattering of twinklets which I also used for his hat.

Little Fairy

Well it's the weekend again, I always find it odd that Monday to Friday seem to drag yet the weekend always comes round quickly!!! Had a nice sunny start to the day although it is quite nippy but it is starting to look a bit dull out there now. Oh well will have to stay in, whatever will I do!! LOl..

Delicious Yumminess!!!

Good Morning

Very Sad Day

Today we lost our beautiful greyhound Perry, he was 12 years old. We rescued him from a horrible racing life(in my opinion it should be banned)! when he was three and he has been an absolute delight to have as a pet. He first became ill about five months ago and we have known since then that he would not get better, but somehow that does not really help. We have been lucky that the steroids he was on meant he could enjoy the last few months with a good quality of life, sadly the tablets just stopped working. He was without doubt a gentle giant with an amazing spirit and he was loved so much by us and he will be sorely missed.

We do still have our mongrel Max, not sure what he is going to make of it either.

Sorry to write such a misog post, but just felt he deserved it!!

Use a Digi Image Fab N Funky DT Card

Yippee its Wednesday, half way to the weekend and time for another challenge which you chose at Fab N Funky. This week we are using a digi image and we are very kindly sponsored by Soft Pencil. The image I have used is Michu and Christmas Tree, make sure you check out the rest of the fab DT cards to see some more designs!!

I have used Basicgrey paper from the Eskimo Kisses collection, it is just gorgeous. I have punched some snowflakes using Kars medium and small punch and covered them (and myself) in twinklets and cosmic shimmer, topped with a little metal thingy(have now idea of the technical name) and a gem, you can get a good look in the close up pic. The tree is stickled and boy does this card glow on my mantle-piece.

I'm Not Square!!

Two posts for me today, hubby has been really helpful, he has cooked a lovely hotpot,
run the hoover round and done a bit of ironing!! I on the other hand have not done very much really!!

This weeks challenge at PBSC is 'Don't Be Square' umm my fav card to use. So after much deliberation I have done a flowerpot card LOl! (my kids tell me off for using LOl apparently it really is not very cool!!) The tutorial for these can be found on splitcoast stampers under the resources section. I have made these before with the flowers but thought the little hedgie would look quite cute in it. He is from the 'Tiny Wishes' stamp set and the papers are Bo-Bunny.

Well a Girls got to Shop!!!

I was having a good morning today until my blasted computer played me up!! 25 minutes it has taken just to load google, SOO frustrating!!

Never mind, seems ok for now, I think a little slurp of something a bit stronger than coffee may be required!! LOl

Anyway here is my entry for Sketch Saturday and I must admit I really like this layout. The image is from dig stamp boutique and is Lullabelle Shopping, oh there are so many digi's on there I want! The paper is from Bo-Bunnys. I hope you like it.

Good Start to the Weekend!!

Its National Cardmakers Day today!! This is a lovely swap organised over on the docrafts website. Everyone got paired up with a buddy and you just made a card so that you had something to open today!! Great idea I think, it was fun. This is the card to I sent to my buddy, a lovely lady called Shona.

Oh and I won(randomly picked) at Penny Black Saturday Challenge, and so I get to choose 4 rolls of ribbon, and I do love my ribbon so really happy about that!
